It’s hard to share the gospel! For me personally, sharing the gospel has always been intimidating.
That is until:- I started to understand the gospel better for myself.
- I got tools for sharing the gospel.
1. Spontaneous-evangelism style: Just go for it!
Those who are more spontaneous will more likely get the urge to share the gospel “randomly”. God inspires people to share the gospel in unexpected ways, so don’t be afraid to share the gospel in spontaneous ways, especially if you feel inspired! Pull out a napkin, paint a picture in the air, or just speak truth. 2. Planned-evangelism style: Share one-on-one.
Some prefer—and find success at—a more planned-out style of evangelism. This can work, too! God knows how to work in both structure and spontaneity. Call a friend, text an acquaintance, share the gospel at a set time and place.
3. Group-presentation style: PowerPoint.
We recently heard of a group of 100 people go through The Discipleship Gospel on a weekend retreat. The group leader shared how it went: “We started by asking them to write out a definition of the gospel then discuss those in groups. We shared that Hull and Sobels give a 100 word definition that is worth the price of the book! Love how the authors demonstrate the relationship between Kingdom and discipleship.”
